Grow Your Own Bruschetta
May 25, 2011 in Edible Garden by Kristina
It’s an Italian favorite and a popular dish amongst everyone. Bruschetta over slightly toasted baguette slices make a perfect appetizer or cocktail hour snack. Healthy and delicious. Here’s how you can grow it yourself!
All you really need to grow is tomatoes and basil leaves. These are two main ingredients for your Bruschetta recipe. Once your tomatoes and basil is ready for harvest, which should take about 8-10 weeks, dice it all up. Add a hint of olive oil, salt and pepper… even some garlic if you like the taste. Spoon it over the baguette slices. And voila! Your very own, home grown, Bruschetta.
Try it at home and let us know what you think. Do you have any Bruschetta recipes of your own? Share it with us!
