• Call your local nursery or even Home Depot or Lowes and inquire if they have or know of free gardening seminars - often they are available and an expert is on hand to answer your questions.
• Phone a friend who has been gardening for years and pick his or her brain to see if gardening is right for you. Find out the time and space commitment involved for what you hope to grow.
