Sneaky beverages

Beverages are sneaky. Many of us avoid candy, junk food, sugar and other non-healthy items in order to skip unnecessary calories and unhealthy ingredients.
We make our juices in the morning but then grab other drinks when we are out and about.
Paying closer attention to the other beverages in our lives pays off! That mocho-choco-latte, sweetened iced-tea and even some of those “healthy” waters are packed with calories and sugars. Have a few a day and you’ll be wondering why you’re not seeing the results you’d like.
Avoid some of these nutrient low and calorie dense beverages from Men’s Health Worst Drinks In America to ensure your health-goal success!
SoBe Green Tea. It’s easy to hear all the good news about green tea and grab for a bottle of this one from SoBe and think you are making a good choice. Truth is, besides green tea this one is loaded with 61 grams of sugar and 240 calories. It takes an average adult female almost 25 minutes of running to burn those calories off!
Rockstar Energy Drink. You’re lagging a little in the afternoon and think you’ll just reach for one of these for a pep? That pep will cost you 280 calories and 62 grams of sugar!
Starbuck Vanilla Frappuccino (bottle). If you didn’t have time to brew your coffee this morning and decide to grab one of these to-go instead, be aware that it comes in at 290 calories, 4.5 grams of fat and 45 grams of sugar.
If you enjoy these beverages you don’t have to avoid them for the rest of your life. However, you may want to limit them and treat them as any other indulgence in your life.
